With more than 20 years of experience in the field of change management, Danny McClary has served as the chief financial officer of multiple healthcare companies, including Community Health Systems, based in Orange Beach, Alabama, the home of his current leadership position. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), part of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), first enforced their healthcare insurance program in 1965. Today, the program covers various eligible groups, including families with low incomes and people with disabilities.
Further, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) was established in 1997 to cover children whose families do not meet the income requirements for Medicaid. CHIP covers more than nine million children in the United States.
The program’s benefits include coverage for well-child visits, dental visits, behavioral health treatments, and vaccines. Additional expansion benefits contain screening and prevention services for the early diagnosis of health problems.
