An experienced certified public accountant, Danny McClary serves as Community Health Systems’ chief financial officer. Augmenting his work with the organization, Danny McClary is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

In late September and early October, the organization held its 2020 Digital Revenue Cycle Conference. Taking place over two days, the event focused on moving revenue cycles to a more consumer-centric model. It also looked to highlight best practices for doing so, alongside removing the guesswork from the process.

The first day of the event, September 30, included a talk moderated by Tim Haag that featured Julie Trocchio and Gerilynn Sevenikar. It focused on “Bringing Clarity, Fairness and Consistency to Collection Processes: An update to HFMA’s Medical Accounts Receivable Resolution Best Practices.”

The second day of the conference, which took place on October 2, featured an interactive discussion centered on “The Commitment to Consumerism in a New Era.” Presenters at the panel spoke about how they embraced consumerism as a movement as it related to healthcare.
